Tikkun Olam at Biennial!

October 2, 2015Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism

The 2015 URJ Biennial has been designed to present content in new and innovative ways, and we’re proud to share that the RAC has coordinated the Tikkun Olam Track - an outstanding series of more than 30 social justice workshops!

Join us over the course of the Biennial, as we learn from social justice leaders from across our Movement and around the world. These presenters will highlight dozens of topics ranging from anti-Semitism in Europe to transgender inclusion, Jewish Genetic diseases, and techniques for engaging youth in social justice priorities. Each workshop is designed to offer programming ideas and opportunities for you to return home with, and we promise you’ll return inspired to create a more just world.

Special attention has also been given to the Reform Movement’s racial justice campaign, and participants can attend four workshop sessions discussing and deciphering the Jewish community’s role in addressing racial inequality.

Our track will be capped by a keynote presentation delivered by Reverend Jennifer Bailey of the Faith Matters Movement, titled “In This Together: A Conversation about Why and How People of Faith are Pursuing Racial Justice in the 21st century.”

Be sure to view all of the Tikkun Olam Track workshops by visiting the URJ Biennial Schedule website and selecting our track from the drop down menu. While you’re there, be sure to browse the offerings in the Strengthening Congregations, Audacious Hospitality, and Transforming Texts Tracks to get a full sense of our 2015 program offering.

See you in Orlando!
